Sherona Rawat is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice. She completed her postgraduate degrees at the prestigious University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (Pmb), an internationally acclaimed institute that is well known as a leading training facility for Clinical Psychology with many of the faculty residing on boards at the United Nations World Health Organization ethics community, holding research grants from the USA, affiliated to Harvard medical School and intrinsically involved in groundbreaking HIV/AIDS research in conjunction with the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine, UKZN. She has received postgraduate masters level training in Gender Studies and Clinical Hypnosis and is currently completing a PhD in Community Psychology.
Sherona, aside from being the resident psychologist on Lotus FM, is the Clinical Psychologist on Psychology Talk with Dr Rawat on Life and Style Magazine show on LotusFM, appears on live call in shows such as Medical File, Off the Record and Newsbreak and is also requested on a regular basis to offer psychologically educational talks, workshops and lectures within her community, is regularly invited to guest on local and national radio and has been approached by local and national newspapers such as The Daily News and online and international magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Psychologies, Destiny, Destiny Man, Fairlady, YOU and the Oprah Magazine for comment on a variety of topics within her area of expertise. She has mentored for Destiny online magazine and was invited as part of the process o host a live call in talk show. She writes regular articles for LS magazine. She also offers a Support Group for Divorced Women as a service free to the community.
