I am a registered Clinical Psychologist currently running my private practice in Westville, Durban. I attained my Master’s degree from UKZN and completed my internship at King Edward VIII and Addington Hospitals, and was placed at Murchison hospital (South Coast) for my community service year. I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches (including: CBT, Psychodynamic and Play therapy), depending on what is most suitable for the client. Prior to embarking on the therapeutic process, I feel it is essential to conduct a detailed assessment to determine the therapeutic approach that is most suitable to the client.

My areas of special interest and practice include, but are not limited to:

Children

• The assessment of IQ or developmental delays/difficulties (including concerns
  regarding Autism/Asperger’s Disorder)
• Play therapy using sandtray, clay, art and other techniques in a fully equipped, separate play room
• Therapy for a variety of emotional, behavioural and educational difficulties (for e.g.: AD/HD, children struggling with their parent’s divorce, oppositional behaviour, childhood anxiety and depression)

• The assessment and treatment of psychiatric, behavioural, emotional and
  relational problems
• Self-injurious behaviour (cutting) and suicidal thoughts
• Difficulties coping with life stressors (peer, parental)
• Anxiety
• Depression

Adults

• The assessment and management of various psychological difficulties/psychiatric disorders
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Bipolar and Psychotic disorders
• Personality disorders
• Relational difficulties (divorce, parent-child, marital)

Fees

My fees are within medical aid rates and I do submit to certain medical aids.

Working hours

Monday – Friday: 8am-5pm (after hour appointments and hospital visits available)
Saturday: 8.30am-12pm
