I’m a Counselling Psychologist, though trained in Clinical Psychology, I chose to register in Counselling which I feel both suits my personality best and is truthful to my underlying worldview. I prefer to work with people struggling with every day challenges, rather than severe pathology. This also underscores my approach to life: facing challenges and a strong belief in people’s ability to heal and grow as individuals. After all life does not change – we do.

After 20 years in private practice, I have widely extended my studies and skills to work in a broad eclectic paradigm, adapting my approach to the specific individual and their context; these modalities include Psycho-dynamic, Systems, Dream-work, Cognitive-behavioural and Transpersonal.

I strongly belief that as individuals the challenge is to move to greater awareness - to ultimately live more conscious life’s. We need courage, above all moral courage; to find meaning. We need support and we need validation – counselling creates this context.

My clientele mostly include children older than 8, teenagers, adults and couples, as well as marriage and divorce counselling. Work related issues and stress management forms a core part of my work.
